Mission Statement
The aims of the Association are:
- To represent the interests of, and promote membership to all the residents within the defined area.
- To promote the interests and rights of residents and to encourage them to be more actively involved.
- To ensure that all residents are consulted and informed regularly.
- To work towards improving the area, local environment and the quality of life for local people and their community.
- To assist and promote social activities for recreation and enjoyment, and encourage a community spirit and sense of responsibility.
- To be non-party political.
- To represent the majority view of the community to public bodies and other relevant organisations, and to work towards ensuring that the best interests of members are served.
- To take into account the views of children, young people and residents with severe disabilities who are either not old enough, or incapable of being voting members.
- To conserve and maintain the Village Green and surrounding green belt and its natural biodiversity and wildlife.
- To represent the community in planning and development matters within the area.
- To make applications for grant funding for specific projects and equipment which promote and support the association.
- To set annually, if deemed necessary, for enrolment as a member of the association.
